The Kroger store in Maumee marked a $20 million company investment in the Toledo area. The Northwest Ohio Piping Industry completed construction on the 90,921-square-foot store, which opened its doors for the first time to customers in October 2013.
The building is the first Kroger store within the city of Maumee and is designed to earn an Energy Star certification due to its LED track lighting, skylights and a sophisticated heat reclamation system.
Kroger has added 85 new jobs to the community.
