A big change is coming to the region’s healthcare industry, and the Piping Industry is working hard to help make that happen as quickly as possible.
The Heartland Rehabilitation Center, located on the Promedica Flower Hospital campus in Sylvania, aims to change the way transitional healthcare in the region is delivered. Heartland will provide complex clinical and therapy services and specialize in smoothly transitioning patients from acute hospital settings to post-acute skilled nursing settings, finally transitioning patients to their own homes.
Members of the Piping Industry have been working on all piping aspects of the facility since its groundbreaking in the spring of 2014.
Heartland is the result of a collaborative agreement between ProMedica and HCR ManorCare, a Toledo based nationwide leader in providing post-hospital nursing and rehabilitation services. Replacing Promedica Lake Park, the new, 65,000 square-foot facility boasts 120 beds, a 3,000 square-foot physical and occupational therapy gym, training kitchens and an Internet café.
Jerry Taylor, the foreman on the construction project, is overseeing four other Piping Industry plumbers on the job. The Piping Industry, working with Coyle Mechanical, is proud to work on a project that will bring health and comfort to many in our community.
The Piping Industry looks forward to the successful projected completion of this project in the fall of 2015.
