The UA/EPRI Rigging Certification is valid for 5 years at which the certification holder needs to recertify their credentials.
A 12-hour refresher course is required for recertification and to review the following topics:
Rigging and crane safety, types of cranes and crane signals.
Set-up and use of the transfer shackle assembly.
Utilize a rigging module and crane to demonstrate how to transfer load under overhead obstruction
Calculating load weights
Proper sling/shackle, bridles and mechanical rigging gear for balancing loads
