We are looking for applicants that exhibit the "straight A's:"

  • Academics - Qualified apprentices display a desire to truly learn all the complexities of the plumbing, pipefitting, or H-V-A-C-R trades. They then carry this knowledge throughout their careers, not simply to pass tests.
  • Aptitude - A fundamental understanding of mathematics and scientific concepts allow individuals to thrive in the apprenticeship program. Our comprehensive curriculum includes everything from basic shop and welding to safety and customer relations training.
  • Attendance - Our apprentices are given the opportunity to learn new skills and safety precautions on a daily basis -- through on-the-job training under the direction of a professional journeyman and related classroom instruction. This means it is vital to show up every day to reap these benefits in both the short and long term.
  • Attitude - The Piping Industry’s apprenticeship program includes complex topics and practices which take time and energy to learn and do well. Individuals with a positive approach in their everyday interactions with fellow apprentices, instructors, and journeymen mentors will be very successful in this industry.
