A Northwest Ohio Piping Industry member proved he is the best pipefitter apprentice in the world by winning the UA International Apprenticeship Pipefitter Contest.
Following up on wins at the State and Regional levels, Jared Dusseau, a 34-yearold from Oak Harbor, bested the competition in contests designed to assess knowledge and skill level found on the jobsite. He earned the highest combined overall score amongst his fellow competitors and is now the 2016 UA International Pipefitting Apprentice Champion.
His victory marked the fifth time a Piping Industry apprentice has won the International title.
“I just wanted to keep building [off each win], representing my Brothers and Sisters and all our apprentices,” said Dusseau of his victory.
