Spreading Holiday Cheer Across Northwest Ohio

The holidays are rapidly approaching and bringing with them some inevitabilities across Northwest Ohio, like that the malls will be filled to capacity, and we will be complaining about weather for at least the next four months.

But one thing that is far less certain for many children in the area is not whether or not they will receive everything on their list, but if they will receive any presents at all. This is why the Northwest Ohio Piping Industry was proud to do our part in helping to alleviate these concerns this holiday season.

On Monday, December 18, several members of the Piping Industry attended the Hope for the Holidays toy drive, an annual event that allows for new toys to be distributed to local children in need by the Salvation Army. The Piping Industry raised $500 for the cause, in addition to toys generously donated by our friends at Meijer. There was a great turnout of many area construction trades who also helped contribute to the drive’s eventual goal of beating last year’s total of 22,500 toys donated.

Following our Children’s Christmas Party, the Piping Industry also dropped off presents to the Lucas County Children Services office that were donated in hopes that every child in the area will have a present to unwrap on Christmas morning. The LCCC works closely with caseworkers who can identify children in need and know where to place the gifts.

Giving back to the neighborhoods in which we live and work is a major tenet of the Piping Industry, and we were grateful to see our community come together in important and amazing ways this week. Happy holidays, everyone!
