The Piping Industry is proud of its partners at UA Local 50 for supporting local racing in the Toledo and southern Michigan areas.
This year, Local 50 is again the main sponsor for the racing team owned by Landon Schuster. The #118 car races regularly in the Street Stock division at Flatrock Speedway in Michigan.
In 2015, Local 50 came aboard as Schuster’s main sponsor. With their backing, the HVACR service technician won the Flatrock Street Stock division championship. In dominating fashion, he won a third of the races (4 of 12) and secured an average finish of 2.9.
Races are run almost every Saturday at Flatrock – weather permitting. Heat races to determine qualifying positions begin at 5:30 p.m. and the featured events start around 7 p.m.
The Piping Industry congratulates Local 50 and Schuster on their successful partnership and wishes Landon the best of luck and safe driving in the 2016 season, as he goes for his second straight title.
