New Chiller System Installation at Inverness Country Club

New Chiller System Installation at Inverness Country Club

New Chiller System Installation at Inverness Country ClubGEM Inc., a signatory mechanical contractor with the Piping Industry, recently signed a five-year, comprehensive agreement with Inverness Country Club, one of the most prestigious golf clubs in Northwest Ohio, to maintain the facility’s HVACR and controls.

One of the first things that GEM Inc. started on after inking the deal was removing and replacing the facility’s 21-year-old chiller system. The process took some slick maneuvering and deft crane work by Pat Roseman, who manned the crane with skill.

Project Foreman Rob Klostermeyer and Journeymen Paul Korzec and Chris Brandt also did a great job guiding the chiller barrel through several tight spaces and into the control room, where the installation took place. The chiller barrel was placed indoors in order to prevent having to run the chilled water outside and then back indoors. For this strategic design change to be effective, GEM’s team had to re-route the existing refrigerant piping.

After the installation of the chiller barrel, the rooftop chiller tower installation was a breeze. This new unit, which GEM’s control specialist Rick Grant will bring to life, boasts R410-A refrigerant and frequency drives for fan control.

The strategic design and quality installation that GEM and members of the Piping Industry performed on this project will ensure that all members and staff of the Inverness Country Club stay comfortable all year long.
